Use of the APM Skills tutorials is easy:

  1. Access as a Student using issued Login and Password. If you do not have an APM Skills Login you need to go to the "Contact" link

  2. Log in to the unit you wish to access

  3. The introductory page will open

Navigation:

  1. Read through each page of the APM Skills tutorial

  2. At the end of each page you can test yourself with review questions by clicking on the button. These questions are not assessed, but allow you to monitor your progress and understanding throughout the unit

  3. Move to the next page by clicking "next page"

  4. You can go back at any time by clicking "previous page" or one the page numbers.

  5. Make sure that you read every page of the tutorial

  6. When you reach the final page of the tutorial you can proceed to the assessment by clicking "begin assessment"

  7. Choose your answers in the assessment from the multiple choices.

Tips:

  1. You can read the assessment at any time by clicking on "assessment"

  2. Do not "refresh" your assessment as you will lose your answers

  3. If you go back into the tutorial during the assessment you will need to begin your assessment again

Assessment:

  1. When you have successfully completed a tutorial, a certificate will be generated on-screen. If you wish to keep a copy of this certification please print it

  2. A record of the results of your assessment is stored in the APM Skills website

  3. Your Manager will have access to these records to monitor your progress through the APM Skills tutorials

  4. No other students will have access to view your APM Skills results

 

The Work Capacity Assessment (Pocket PC) unit is slightly different to the other APM Skills units:

  1. Access as a Student using issued Login and Password.

  2. Have your Pocket PC at hand when reading tutorial pages. [To practice, open a Work Capacity Assessment session, but not a session referred from Case Manager, and please don't submit practice sessions to the APM server.]

  3. Attempt the quizzes (Review Questions) where found at the bottom of tutorial pages, to reinforce learning.

Tips:

  1. You do not need a Pocket PC to access the information in the Pocket PC tutorial

  2. You do need a Pocket PC to complete the assessment of the Pocket PC tutorial

  3. If you go back into the tutorial during the assessment you will need to begin your assessment again.
